The University of Szeged Department of Software Engineering provides professional training for companies, backed by years of professional experience and a strong academic background.
Our department has long collaborated closely with significant international and domestic industrial partners on numerous joint R&D projects. The research topics supported by our industrial partners focus on the field of software quality, covering: program slicing, impact analysis, static analysis, test coverage, test case generation, measuring the quality of software and test suites using metrics, finding source code defects through static analysis, researching defect localization procedures, monitoring changes in quality, and the calculation and analysis of test coverage.
The core subject areas taught by the department in the university's undergraduate (BSc) programs include programming languages, software development, testing, computer networks, and embedded systems. The department also provides customized training courses for the industry in these subject areas.
Our key area is the software testingwhere, based on the curriculum of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), we have been running accredited training programs and participating as instructors in accredited courses since 2009. Our training courses are primarily aimed at corporate groups and are flexibly adapted to their needs: at the Department(Szeged, Árpád square 2.)three large rooms are available, and we can also provide on-site or online training as required.
